Most keywords work best when placed within key phrases.  The majority of people who search for something type in more than one word at a time, which suggests that key phrases would be more likely to get "hits" than keywords alone.  Think about this:  If someone entered the word "car" into a search engine, the return would be literally thousands of sites!  So, rather than the word "car", a phrase would work best...such as "new car ford" or "car bumpers ford".  The more words in the phrase the better search results.

What keywords are your competitors using? Obviously, these are important things to know when choosing your own keywords. But maybe best of all would be terms relevant to your business that other comparable businesses are NOT using!  Remember that the most popular search phrases will have the most competition!
